Alleged misconduct: Emir of Gaya suspends Kano village head

The Gaya Emirate Council in Kano State, has suspended the village head of Shagogo, Abbas Ibrahim, over allegations of gross misconduct.

The suspension is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the council’s Information Officer, Jamilu Adamu.

The suspension, the council said, was announced by the Emir of Gaya, Aliyu Ibrahim.

He said the emir also directed the District Head of Shagogo, Kabiru Mahmoud to nominate a scribe and forward the nominee’s name to the emirate, pending the conclusion of investigation into the allegations.
