The All Progressives Congress-aligned political group “Win With Tinubu” (WWT) announced Thursday the official launch of a grassroots mobilization campaign across all 239 electoral wards in Kogi State to secure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a press conference themed “Re-engineering Grassroots Politics in Kogi State,” WWT State Program Coordinator Hon. Sani Philips detailed the movement’s transition from federal constituency town hall meetings into a decentralized, ward-level operational model.
Philips explained that the upcoming phase involves the simultaneous inauguration and activation of local government and ward executive structures scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, across the state. The initiative aims to build a functional bottom-up political network rather than relying solely on periodic political gatherings.

“Political success comes from listening to the people at the grassroots, addressing their concerns, and ensuring they feel part of the vision for a brighter future,” Philips said. He noted that the initial phase of constituency town halls laid the groundwork by communicating the policy achievements of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The program’s leadership structure includes Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo alongside Kogi West Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, who serves as WWT Chairman, and Kogi East Senator Jibrin Isah, who serves as Co-Chairman.
Clarifying the organization’s scope, Philips emphasized that WWT is not an official campaign council, but rather a dedicated grassroots support movement operating legally to foster community engagement and voluntary voter participation without coercion or inducement.
The second phase of the mobilization strategy rests on five central deliverables: establishing clear ward-level coordination, distributing factual policy information about federal programs, collecting community feedback, recruiting volunteers, and implementing data-driven monitoring and reporting systems to maintain accountability.
Philips called on party stakeholders, local volunteers, and media partners to support the peaceful rollout across all 239 wards as the group prepares its organizational structure ahead of the 2027 polls.
