ADC Stakeholders Reject Removal of Ibaji LGA Chairman, Accuse Achuba of Undermining Party

Stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi East have rejected the purported removal of Hon. Samuel Onalo as the party’s Divisional Chairman in Ibaji Local Government Area.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the leaders accused former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Hon. Simon Achuba, of executing a deliberate attempt to sabotage the party’s prospects in Kogi East ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The statement, signed by the Secretary of the ADC Ward Leaders Forum and party leader in Ejule Ojebe Ward, Hon. Daniel Ojata, described the alleged removal of Onalo as illegal, high-handed, and null and void.

Ojata stated that loyal members of the ADC in Ibaji would not accept Achuba’s unilateral decisions and disregard for party guidelines.

The stakeholders demanded the immediate retraction and nullification of all unauthorized documents signed by Achuba or his aides concerning the leadership of the party in Ibaji LGA.

They also urged party faithful and supporters across the local government area not to be discouraged by what they described as a “calculated attempt to weaken the party,” assuring members that the leadership remains intact.
