The Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has given support groups mobilising for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election five days to register on its newly launched online portal.
The council said the registration exercise was aimed at verifying the groups, assessing their geographical spread and organisational capacity, and establishing a database to coordinate mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Silas Agara, Director of the Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, announced the initiative at a press conference in Abuja on Sunday.
He said the registration portal, https://www.pccsupportgroups.com/, went live on October 17 and would close on October 22, 2026.
Mr Agara urged all support groups and volunteer networks working for Mr Tinubu’s re-election to register within the stipulated period, regardless of whether they had previously registered with the party or other campaign structures.
“The portal goes live today, 17 October 2026, and will remain open for five days, closing on 22 October 2026,” he said.
“This registration exercise will enable us to verify participating groups, understand their geographical spread and organisational capacity, and establish a reliable database for effective coordination and nationwide engagement.”
He said the directorate was mandated to coordinate the groups, strengthen their organisational capacity and ensure their activities complemented the broader objectives of the APC presidential campaign.
According to him, support groups serve as a link between the party, the campaign organisation and Nigerians by mobilising communities, professional associations, interest groups and volunteers.

He said the groups also help communicate government policies, explain the administration’s achievements and engage citizens on issues affecting them.
Mr Agara said the 2027 elections required organisation, discipline and sustained engagement, making a coordinated mobilisation structure necessary for the campaign.
“I urge every group to take this exercise seriously. Our objective is to build a unified mobilisation structure that is organised, accountable, responsive and prepared for the demands of the campaign ahead,” he said.
The APC official urged support groups to take the party’s message to grassroots communities, workplaces, markets and neighbourhoods, saying the mobilisation effort would be anchored on the record of the Tinubu administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.
He said the president had undertaken major economic and institutional reforms over the past three years to address longstanding structural challenges and put the country on a path towards sustainable growth.
Mr Agara called on support group leaders and members across the country to remain active and work closely with the directorate to strengthen the campaign’s coordination and outreach.
“Let us build bridges across differences, promote constructive dialogue and mobilise support through credible engagement, service and responsible conduct,” he said.
He added that unity of purpose, effective coordination and a shared commitment would be essential to the success of the campaign.
Mr Agara also appealed to the media to publicise the registration exercise and inform eligible support groups of the opportunity to participate in the mobilisation structure.
The registration drive comes as political parties and support groups begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections, in which President Tinubu is expected to seek a second term in office.
