Human rights activist and AAC Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, on Monday opened his defence in his alleged cybercrime trial by calling activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, as his first defence witness.
The proceedings took place before the trial court, where Sowore began presenting his defence against the charges brought against him by the DSS.
Adeyanju, while giving evidence, testified in support of the defence as the first witness called by Sowore’s legal team.
The activist is facing prosecution over allegations of cybercrime, which he has denied.
The matter was subsequently adjourned for the continuation of the defence.
