Uba Sani commends Kaduna pilgrims in Makkah

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has commended pilgrims from the state for their exemplary conduct while performing the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

The governor gave the commendation after receiving a briefing from a high-powered delegation overseeing the state’s Hajj operations in Makkah.

This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Makkah by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa.

According to the statement, Governor Sani also praised officials of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for what he described as diligent and efficient service delivery during the exercise.

He noted that officials of the agency had become reference points in Hajj administration due to their commitment and dedication to duty.

The governor reminded pilgrims that Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam and requires patience, perseverance and total devotion to Allah.

He added that the spiritual exercise is physically demanding and urged the pilgrims to remain focused throughout the rites.

Governor Sani said the briefing he received from members of the Hajj delegation and the management of the pilgrims agency was consistent with reports he had been receiving even before arriving in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, the delegation, led by the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, briefed the governor on the progress of the Hajj operations.

Mr Salihu explained that the agency had successfully carried out various activities, beginning with the sensitisation of intending pilgrims during the “Bita” exercise, medical screening at the Hajj camp and the airlift of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

He also highlighted the successes recorded in Madina and Makkah, including the movement of pilgrims to Arafat and Muzdalifa, as well as the symbolic stoning of the devil at Jamrat before their return to the tent city of Mina.

Members of the delegation included the Governor’s Principal Private Secretary and member of the Hajj Delegation Committee, Professor Bello Ayuba.

Others were the Chairman, House Committee on Interfaith and Hajj at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Nazir Abubakar; Senior Special Assistant on Interfaith, Malam AbdulRahman Abuhunain; and the Director of Operations of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Abubakar Usman Yusuf.
